Speaker’s bio

Salman Waqar is a practicing GP, with background in medical leadership, advocacy, education and training. He is the former president of British Islamic Medical Association, and holds an honorary academic appointment at Imperial College London. He also sits on the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) Technology Appraisal Committee, evaluating new drugs for inclusion on the NHS.
