The NIHR Invention for Innovation (i4i) programme will soon invite applications for its Connect funding stream.

i4i Connect is aimed at small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) developing medical devices, in vitro diagnostics and Tier C digital health technologies with direct patient benefits, looking to ultimately integrate into the NHS.

The funding stream aims to help SMEs reach the next stage in the development pathway to apply for further funding, in particular for an i4i Product Development Award.

Funding of £50,000 to £150,000 is available for projects 6 to 12 months in duration.

i4i Connect operates a two stage application process:

  • Stage 1 – Expression of Interest
  • Stage 2 – 15 page (maximum) Business Plan and a 3 minute video pitch

The submission deadline for applications is 1pm on 14 September 2021
